Corporate Design | WASHINGTON, D.C. | 5,700 sf | 2010

Cargill is the nation’s largest privately owned corporation and is a global leader in the agriculture and related manufacturing businesses.

For its new Washington, DC government affairs office, Cargill wanted a sophisticated but understated presence that presented the company’s message in a variety of ways. The design presents the company’s iconic logo on a backlit frosted glass cube. Flanking the logo cube and leading into the main conference, are large backlit photographs from the Cargill photo archives of the company’s activities and people served.

The wall of the seating area features a sculpture designed and built by the architects and designers at SKB. “Bountiful” is made up of mason jars filled with various seeds from Cargill’s broad product line. The design illustrates the many facets of the company in a smart and sophisticated setting.
